Tyco Fire & Security launched FLAMEVision FV300, the first flame detector in India that uses an infrared array with 256 infrared sensors and integrated CCTV, to identify flame incidents automatically and reliably and to accurately pinpoint fire sources on a video image. With intelligent software, it can discriminate between flame and non-flame sources. This critical information allows its operators to visually verify the alarm and implement appropriate action immediately.
The FLAMEVision FV300 is specifically designed to protect high-risk businesses and will greatly benefit the most demanding applications in power, marine, offshore, petrochemical, and oil and gas industries.
"The lack of visual information on the exact source of any fire incident is a major problem faced by operators around the world," said Jan Johansson, Vice President, Strategic Fire Sales & Marketing, Tyco Fire & Security Asia. "This leads to delays in initiating the appropriate action such as shutting down the plant, and such unverified actions may cost companies millions of dollars. With FLAMEVision, operators will know exactly where the detector is reporting an alarm and a swift decision can be made before the fire spreads."
"Investing in effective and reliable flame detectors is crucial for hazardous and critical industries where assets and people are at great risk. The revolutionary FLAMEVision is independent of weather, visibility and lighting conditions that can affect CCTV. This means that it can detect flame under adverse weather conditions," Jan added.
